PHOTO: Loop Around Maui

In the history of beautiful places, Hawaii would certainly find itself added to most people’s lists. While there are certainly travelers who have seen much more of the world than me, I’ve been quite a few places and have to admit that Hawaii does seem to have a certain magic. The following are some of my favorite photos that I took while wandering around the wonderful isle of Maui over the course of our holiday there.

The rocky north shore of Maui near the Nakelele blow hole.

Standing on the edge as a rain storm sweeps over the western side of Maui.

Looking out over the gorgeous landscape isn't the only thing to keep an eye on.

A little teaser before the magic at the Nakalele blow hole.

The Pioneer Inn on the bay in Lahaina is a registered historic landmark.

Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice is a notable stop when driving through Lahaina.

A rainbow appears after some rain showers blow through the western mountains.

Climbing a massive banyan tree while hiking in Haleakala National Park.

Hana Bay at the end of the famous "Road to Hana" on a particularly overcast day.
